Happy New Year!

NYE 2016

Happy 2016, Friends!

Well, as you know I have been missing in action for a year now. And since you’re likely wondering, “where have you been?” (Gone, but not forgotten!)

I’m gonna tell you. In May, 2015 I finished my master’s degree in hospitality management, then started law school in August.

I’m getting ready to start my 2nd semester, so you won’t be seeing me much this quarter either. I promise I will try to squeeze in another episode of Faithfully 2, which I know some of you must be “chaffing at the bit” to find out what happens to America Riley next! (I know I am). 🙂

In closing, forgive me for my lengthy absence and bear with me – I’m just juggling a lot these days!

Happy New Year!

Wishing everyone blessings in 2015!

The Wedding Poem

I was going about my indie life
thinking I was strong and complete.
But then one day I came upon you,
and you swept me off my feet.

The world told me that fate
belonged in fairy tales,
and that love was just a myth.
But if that was true,
then how could you
capture my heart
with just one kiss.

Lay down your burdens before me,
Let me hold on to your heart.
I’m not the kind of person
to tell you lies,
I want to shelter you from the dark.

And I know I’m gonna hurt you,
We’re bound to argue, fuss, and fight.
But I’m also going to lift you
when you’re down,
and fill your darkest moments
with my light.

Let us be bound together by two circles.
Let us seal our souls with a kiss.
Let us write a Declaration of Dependance.
Let us tell the world of our love’s bliss!

I know this journey won’t be easy.
Sometimes we’ll come undone.
But you’re the air I need to breathe,
That’s how I know you’re the one.

Marry me.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Fellow Bloggers,

Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving and many, many blessings this holiday season.

The Horizon Bleeds…

When I was 20 years old I had the privilege to star in an indie film. It’s been 20 years since then, and now I have the privilege of writing stories that perhaps someone else may one day act in.

My perception of art had changed since then. As a young artist, I wanted people to love me in the art. Today, I love the art in me; I enjoy creating art and if others enjoy it too, then I feel honored to share it with them.

We all have a creative side, an ability to construct something unique based on our individual life experience. Do you value the creative side of you?
